Dhauladhar

Dhauladhar mountain ranges lie in himachal pradesh, separating kullu district and mandi district at one end and chamba district and kangra district at the other. dhauladhar, literally meaning 'white peak,' with its snow-capped tea gardens, is an ideal destination for trekkers. the hills are viewed like waves on the surface of the sea from the top of dhauladhar. in kangra valley, the mountain peak is at an altitude of about 4800 m from sea level. the mountain sides, after a certain height, house many villages, inhabited by the gaddis, who rear and trade in sheep.

Day 1: delhi / chandigarh – dalhousie

Pickup from Delhi Railway station / Airport / Chandigarh, drive to Dalhousie. Dalhousie still has a touch of the "Raj" and its colonial style building and houses bring back the flavors of an earlier era. Hotel check in, followed by overnight stay.

Day 2: dalhousie

After breakfast move for local sightseeing in Dalhousie. Its location presents panoramic views of the plains- and like a long silver line, the river Ravi twists and turns below Dalhousie. The spectacular snow-covered Dhauladhar mountains are also visible form this enchanting town. O/N stay there.

Day 3: dalhousie – khajjiar

After breakfast we proceed to Khajjiar. Khajjiar is part of the notified Kalatop – Khajjiar sanctuary. At Khajjiar there is a 12th century temple dedicated to Khajjair. Within the temple are life-size wooden images of the five Pandav brothers. O/N stay at the hotel.

Day 4: khajjiar - chamba

After breakfast proceed to Chamba, located on the right bank of the river Ravi. It is well known for its splendid architecture and as the base for numerous excursions. It is also a district headquarter. Drive back to Khajjiar, followed by O/N stay there.

Day 5: khajjiar – dharamshala

After breakfast drive to Dharamshala. Dharamshala has everything for a perfect holiday. The suburbs of Mcleodganj and Forsytheganj, retains a British flavour and colonial lifestyle. O/N stay there.

Day 6: dharamshala

After breakfast enjoy local sightseeing. Mcleodganj is a famous little town of Dharamshala also known as "Little Tibet" H. H. The Dalai Lama resides here. At the start of Mcleodganj is a small bazaar filled with variety of Tibetan handicrafts and artifact. Day at leisure, followed by O/N stay there.

Day 7: dharamshala – chd / delhi

After breakfast back to Chandigarh / Delhi and transfer to Railway Station / Airport.
